Cotton Candy Tree

Is this not the most darling idea for a party? Any party! I am knocked out by this idea, it would just be simplicity itself to put together. Genius.

A Very Pretty Party

This is one of the prettiest parties I ever did see...

Just LOOK at it all, I don't know where to start. The decor, the treats, the drawing in of the amazing color wall...I mean seriously, this is amazing. You must check out Griottes, the original site from whence all this fabulous sprang, there are even more incredible photos.

This is definitely one for the inspiration files!!

Pink Parfait Girl's Tea Hat

I do believe this would be any little girl's dream....to wear this to a fancy (or even not-so-fancy) tea party, or garden party, or fairy party! Or an it's Thursday party!

You can find this little girl tea hat, along with one in yellow, over at Tea With Grace.

Oh and I also believe that the only appropriate drink at such an affair would be Berries and Cream Sweet tea.

Pink Tea Party

A little tea party we had the other day...

On the table: a folded up sheet. On the menu: Pink Hot Chocolate (the pinkness came from this mix.), Snickerdoodles (best cookie warm from the oven -- there is nothing else better! I ate five in the blink of an eye.), and pink sugar for sprinkling just because it was 1) PINK and 2) FUN.

Pinkies were held aloft just so. Nothing was spilled. (Hurray!) Many cookies were consumed. The little ladies had their refined little soiree and then hauled down a dozen stuffed animals into the family room to watch that most elegant of films...'Kung Fu Panda'.

A lovely afternoon!

Pink Pajama Party

How cute and fun is this??? Totally throwing Julia a pink pajama party when she's a bit older. Do you think she would mind if I came along too? You can find out more about this lovely soiree at the fantastic site for all things party, One Charming Party.

A Pink and Sparkly Birthday Cake

Ever since last summer, when I first happened upon it, I have been really excited to try making My My's Strawberry Layer Cake. I'll just link you to the recipe because it's all over the internet and I don't feel the need to write it down AGAIN. One note: I made the frosting in 2 batches and gave each box of sugar its own stick of butter. So I used two sticks of butter total.

So when Julia requested a Strawberry Shortcake dolly themed birthday party, I knew that it was time to crack out this recipe and give it a whirl. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed and neither was anyone else, I promise!

The taste is a bit. . . like something NOT found in nature, but it really was delicious. The strawberry frosting was AMAZING. My cake layers did not rise quite evenly and I was too lazy to trim them so the end result was a bit lopsided from certain angles.

The best part about the whole endeavor? When my kiddo gazed at it and said "Oh WOW!" If you want pink perfection in a cake, look no further. Don't forget pink sugar sprinkles!
